Where are lessons held?
We are an itinerant music tuition service, meaning we come to you. However, as we cover a large area of the South East (Hampshire - Kent, via S.E. London), in-person lessons are only available on days when we are in your area (please contact us for more details). All other tuition is conducted online via Skype.
Am I too old for lessons?
With the exception of very young children (>5 years) nobody is too young or too old to learn music. We welcome learners of all ages.
How much are lesson?
Lessons are fixed at £30 per 45 minutes. There is no additional cost if lessons are held at your home as travel is included in the lesson fee.
Do I need to do grade exams?
Despite the emphasis we place on the importance of graded music examination, there is no requirement for students to take exams. However, given the convenient nature of video & online exam options, we encourage all students to work towards graded exams in their instrument if possible.
Do I need my own instrument?
Yes. All students are required to have their own instrument.
Do you offer trial lessons or lesson gift vouchers?
No. In order to maintain high standards of teaching & learning we do not offer trial lessons or lesson gift vouchers.
Can I have lessons when I want?
No. To facilitate productive teaching & learning, regular contact is required (with the exception of holidays, etc.). Therefore, lessons are offered on a recurring weekly basis only.
Do we go right into lessons?
No. Prospective new students are requested to attend a complimentary meeting (in-person or online) before any commitment to lessons is made. The purpose of this meeting acts as a confirmation session. It enables us to assess your ability & suggest a suitable scheme of work that will be taught over a given period of time.
Can I get help/assistance outside of lessons?
Yes, of course! As part of our personalised commitment to your wider learning, we offer 24/7 help & assistance in all aspects of your tuition.
When are lessons held?
Lessons are conducted 7 days per week. There is capacity for 70 students per week.
